Hi, I am Aliesinwonderland (Alies Broekhuizen), an illustrator artist and teacher from Holland. I like to draw people, animals and stories for children and grownups. Alongside commissions, such as editorial work, packaging and stationary, I like to work on art projects of my own, like writing and illustrating picture books :)!
I am interested in illustrating both fiction and nonfiction stories, editorial illustration, packaging, how-to’s and more.

Materials I love working with are ink, watercolor, gouache, pencil and digital techniques on a wacom cintiq.
In 2009 I graduated at ST. Joost ‘s-Hertogenbosch and got nominated for the Jheronimus Award (Lucasprijs).
Recently, I went to the children’s book illustration summerschool at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge and I am learning how to be a writer @scriptplus Amsterdam.
